Pledge to Plan: Hurricane Preparedness

Learn about how to Know Your Risk, Make Plan, Stay Informed and Get Involved in order to be prepared for before, during and after a storm. These presentations are customized to your community, with general preparedness information, and a focus on mobile home communities, businesses, condominium residents, faith-based and community-based organizations, and more. Recommended Audience: All Ages

Flooding

Anywhere it rains, it can flood. Nearly 20% of flood insurance claims come from areas that are not in a high-risk area, also known as Special Flood Hazard Areas. Residents who live in and outside of a high-risk area should know their risk and consider protection. Learn about your flood risk, the cost of flooding, flood insurance, property protection, preparedness and safety, and natural floodplains. Recommended Audience: Adults

We prepare for more than hurricanes! Pinellas County is threatened by other hazards, including tornadoes and other severe weather and prepares for all types of disasters throughout the year.
