Park Boulevard Sidewalk Improvements
Project ID# 001512A
Park Boulevard, from the east of Starkey Road to west of 66th Street, in the cities of Seminole and Pinellas Park.
Pinellas County Public Works, through the county's Capital Improvement Program, is making sidewalk improvements along Park Boulevard N. (CR 694) from east of Starkey Road to West of 66th Street within the cities of Seminole and Pinellas Park.
To enhance pedestrian safety along the roadway, broken sidewalk will be replaced and the existing sidewalk will be upgraded to be ADA-compliant. Modifications will be made where the sidewalk intersects existing driveways, and curb ramps will be improved.
The project will further improve pedestrian accessibility by making upgrades to: the existing mid-block pedestrian crossing at 79th Street N. (at the Wagon Wheel Flea Market) with the installation of a full pedestrian signal; the existing sidewalk will be widened on 74th Avenue (Frontage Road) along with the addition of designated parking lanes; and the existing pedestrian signals where Park Boulevard intersects with 83rd Street N. and Belcher Road.
The County intends to maintain traffic flow in all directions during the project. For short periods of time and with advance notice, single lane closures will be necessary.
