Short-Term or Occasional Service Category

An individual who offers to provide one-time or occasional volunteer service.

• Provides limited or occasional service (e.g., special events, seasonal work, etc.)
• Cannot work more than four months continuously
• Cannot total more than 320 volunteer hours per year
• Keeps a daily volunteer time log
• Covered by workers’ compensation benefit
• Is supervised/instructed by county staff or long-term volunteer
• Requires the VIP Opportunity Form
• Requires the Volunteer Short-Term Placement Form
