Bright Futures Intern Category

A Pinellas County public school system student, or group of students, who is/are earning credit for a Bright Futures scholarship by initiating a project with Pinellas County government.

• Students develop their own projects
• The project must have a county-associated application
• Students must receive approval for their project from the Bright Futures scholarship program

• Requires the Pinellas County Schools/Pinellas County Government Educational Guideline Form
• If younger than 18, the Parent, Guardian or Legal Custodian Permission form is required
• The school must provide a waiver form or forms signed by parents of all students involved
• Length of project varies
• Works under the direct supervision of a high school teacher
• Keeps a volunteer time log
• Daily evaluation by county supervisor is required
