Ultra Low Flow Toilet (ULFT) Rebate Program

Does Your Castle STILL Need a New Throne?

Ultra Low Flow Toilet (ULFT) Rebate ProgramBy popular demand, the Ultra Low Flow Toilet (ULFT) Rebate Program has returned. Rebates of up to $100 for each high flow toilet replaced by an ultra low flow 1.6 gallon toilet are available to single family, multi-family, and commercial customers who receive their water supply directly from Pinellas County or from the cities of Clearwater, Oldsmar, Pinellas Park, Safety Harbor, and Tarpon Springs.

If high efficiency toilets (HETS) are installed, they must be certified to meet the WaterSense® criteria through the Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense® labeling program. Click here for a list of certified WaterSense toilets. Adobe Acrobat Reader file

Since the original program started in August, 2001, the program has achieved 98% of the participation goal, saving approximately 2.5 million gallons of potable water per day. There have been over 100,000 high-flow toilets replaced with low-flow models through May 31, 2009.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District will continue joint funding at a 50% match of eligible program costs. The program’s extension will help further decrease Pinellas County’s already low per capita water use rate of 88 gallons per person per day.
