RECYCLE REGATTA BOAT RACE  
3rd Grade Students - Adults:

• Thank you to everyone who built and raced a recycled boat in the Recycle Regatta event. The boats were designed from at least 70% trash items such as plastic bottles or scrap wood.
• All participants received t-shirts, and winners were awarded trophies.

DRINKING WATER WEEK T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST  
Elementary School Students:

• Thank you to the elementary school students (and their teachers) who submitted designs for our "Only Tap Water Delivers" contest. We received 1,049 entries!
• Congratulations to the 2009 Winners
• Winners will be awarded t-shirts printed with their design and will be recognized at their school.
• National Drinking Water Week will be May 3-9, 2009. Visit the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) site for ways to celebrate the week including fun children's activities such as building an aquifer in a cup.

EARTH DAY T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST  
Middle School Students:

• Thank you to the middle school students (and their teachers) who participated in our "Better Choices Today Lead to a Better Earth Tomorrow" contest.
• We received 1,067 entries!
• Congratulations to the 2009 winners. 
  
• Winners—and their teachers—will be awarded t-shirts printed with their design and be recognized at their school.

LARGO TRASHY FASHION SHOW  
Students or Adults:

• Congratulations to everyone who participated in the City of Largo's 2009 Trashy Fashion Show. The "trashy fashions" were designed from at least 75% recyclable items.
• Cash prizes were awarded to the four winners and five runners up.
