Security / Safety
Like public utilities across the nation, Pinellas County Utilities’ (PCU) duty is not only to provide water, wastewater and solid waste services to our customers but also to protect the critical infrastructure. PCU has implemented numerous safety procedures and measures for our operations and Pinellas County residents can assist in this effort.
We all must be vigilant and report any suspicious scenes or behavior. Reporting such observances enhances overall security and helps provide a safe environment. Even if something doesn’t seem that significant, it’s important to report it. Utilities is involved in the Pinellas County Anti-Terrorist Task Force. The sole purpose of this group is to evaluate all reports, analyze the information and act appropriately.
If you see any of the following activities occurring call (727) 582-2379 and report the following information if feasible:
- date
- time
- location of incident
- license plate number of vehicle
- # of persons involved
