Pinellas County Utilities Customers
Urged to Conserve Water Essential Water Use Only
During 84-inch Pipeline Shutdown
November 19, 2007
Clearwater, Fla. – Tampa Bay Water’s 84-inch pipeline, which supplies water to Pinellas County Utilities, is scheduled to be shut down beginning November 27 to install a new pipeline connection. Pinellas County Utilities customers are urged to curb all non-essential water use during the shutdown period, from November 27 – December 2, 2007 and voluntarily shut off their irrigation systems during that week.
Water supplies will be limited and customers may experience lower water pressure during peak water usage times. This can be avoided by voluntary conservation actions such as skipping a week of lawn watering and car washing, taking shorter showers, and other non-essential water use. With successful conservation efforts by our customers, no supply or water pressure issues are anticipated.
For more information on ways to conserve water, in and outside the home, please contact Utilities Customer Service at 727-464-4000. Additional water conservation information can be found at: pinellascounty.org/utilities/conserve-altwater.htm
