Wastewater Spill Contained, Line Repaired

May 18, 2007

Largo, Fla— Traffic patterns affected by the rupture of a 12-inch force main at 12294 Indian Rocks Rd. and also at the intersection of 122nd Avenue North and 144th Lane last night (May 16, 2007) have been returned to normal as of 2 p.m. today. Utilities crews contained both spills and the line was repaired and returned to normal service by 6 a.m. this morning.

Water Quality has taken samples and is awaiting results to determine the impact on area retention ponds or waterways.
