Beginning Tuesday, April 10, 2007, north county reclaimed water customers will have reclaimed water available for 24-hour intervals, three days a week for irrigation. Residential customers south of Alderman Road and west of US 19 North will have reclaimed water available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Residential customers in other north county service areas, including those on the east side of Lake Tarpon, will have reclaimed water available on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. On Mondays, the reclaimed water system will be down for maintenance and pond recovery.

This alternating availability is in response to dry conditions and increased residential irrigation. The temporary change will enable Utilities to meet heavy demands on the system with normal operating pressures. All residential reclaimed water customers will have sufficient volumes of reclaimed water to meet reasonable irrigation demands. Reclaimed water customers are urged to limit watering to the hours before 10:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m. to minimize evaporation.

This irrigation schedule will remain in effect until July 30, 2007, or until seasonal rainfall resumes in the service area and storage pond levels recover, at which time the reclaimed water system will be returned to full operation.
