Mission Statement
To assure that we provide our citizens the safest, highest quality, and most cost effective water and wastewater service.

The Utilities Operations Department was formed as a result of the consolidation of the Water, Wastewater, and Solid Waste Departments into the Utilities Department. The Operations Department employs 135 personnel in two operating divisions and two support divisions. The two operating divisions are Water and Wastewater which are responsible for the production, treatment and distribution of potable water, and the collection, treatment, and disposal/reuse of all wastewater. The water system produces a daily annual average of 71 MGD. The wastewater system treats 30 MGD.

The two support divisions are plant and equipment maintenance which are responsible for all maintenance activities within the Operations Department to include a 40-MGD water treatment facility, three regional wastewater facilities with a combined capacity of 48 MGD, five water repump facilities, and 350 lift stations.
