Sponsorship Name: 2009 Lakes & Ponds Education Day Sponsor

Sponsorship Description: The Pinellas County Water Resources Management Section and the City of Largo partner to hold an annual Lakes & Ponds Education Day event. This event is for citizens interested in the health and management of our water resources, specifically stormwater ponds. Based on prior years, attendance is anticipated at 150-200 citizens. This year's' event will be held at the County Extension Office in Largo on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 9:00am to 2:30pm.

Sponsorship can include monetary funds to support hard and soft expenses related to the event including signage, printing costs, educational materials for attendees, room rental fees, native plants for attendees, refreshments, t-shirts, and items for the free-raffle. Five levels of sponsorship, named for water resources, are available:

  • Rain Garden Sponsor: Provides monetary funds or items for the raffle equivalent to $50 and will receive company name acknowledgement on poster at event.
  • Pond Sponsor: Provides monetary funds or items for the raffle equivalent to $75 and will receive company name acknowledgement on invitational flyer and poster at event.
  • Lake Sponsor: Provides monetary funds or items for the raffle equivalent to $100 and will receive company name and logo acknowledgement on flyer, poster,and verbal recognition of items at event.
  • Wetland Sponsor: Provides monetary funds between $250-$399 and receives Lake Sponsor benefits and selection of booth location priority.
  • Watershed Sponsor: Provides monetary funds of $400 or more and receives Wetland Sponsor benefits, and an invitation to give 10-15 minute educational presentation of a "water quality topic" including a service sales pitch.
  • Government and Educational Not-For-Profit Organizations may reserve an exhibit booth for free.

The company name & logo acknowledgement includes invitation flyers to the general public via posting in local newspapers (if sponsorship agreement confirmed before media deadline), posting on several web pages, posting at several County offices, and a thank you poster at the event. Any company/ organization may reserve an exhibit booth for an additional $50 of their sponsorship amount.

We will also recognize all sponsors during our welcoming and closing addresses.

NOTE: Table sponsorship opportunities are limited by space to 10 tables.
