Description: Pinellas County Extension & Florida Botanical Gardens is seeking sponsors for Family EarthFest held on the grounds of the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, FL on Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This is an annual event that was attended by over 3000 visitors last year. Family EarthFest is the County’s premiere Earth Day celebration. EarthFest offers free family-friendly activities such as tree planting, bird house building workshop, butterfly encounters, tree and plant give-always, storytelling, live music and entertainment, children’s environmental activities and crafts, environmental education/energy saving exhibits and more. The Florida Native Plant Society plant sale is part of this event. The highlight for the 2007 event will be the dedication of the new interpretive trail through our Native Ecosystem and Demonstration area, an area comprised of 60 acres purchased with funding from the State of Florida Preservation 2000 fund.
The Mission of Family EarthFest is:
“The Family EarthFest at Pinewood Cultural Park is a Pinellas County Collaborative celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day. The festival encourages participants to discover resources and to practice environmentally sound habits through public awareness and knowledge of everyday activities impacting our cultural and natural environment.”
Sponsors can showcase their products and services to event visitors by providing a display are during the event. Sponsorship is acknowledged at Family EarthFest, and in pre-event promotions, through placement of the sponsor’s logo or name impressions on a variety of print media, banners and signs.
Event Sponsor (1 available @ $4,000) – The Event sponsor will have its name/logo included on all promotional items, such as t-shirts. In addition, acknowledgment will be posted on fliers, event posters, and the County website. Event sponsors will be given a ¼ page advertisement in the event program, a display area during the event and acknowledgment during the event and at the trail opening. Sponsorship may be a combination of cash and in kind services as agreed upon between the parties.
Program Sponsors (2-3 available @ $3,000 each) – Program sponsors will also be invited to underwrite the cost of free giveaway materials (such as books) promoting environmental, sustainability and mission related education. Program sponsors will be acknowledged on the event program and event posters. In addition, a display area will be offered to each program sponsor for the promotion of their business or organization.
All Sponsors will be acknowledged on the Family EarthFest web page for the event via sponsor name/logo. Placement and size will be appropriate to the sponsorship level. Name/logo will be linked to the sponsor’s website for easy click-through access.
All Sponsors will be acknowledged in the Family EarthFest event program, which includes a map showing exhibit areas and entertainment schedules, via name/logo. Placement will be appropriate to the sponsorship level.
All Sponsors will be provided a canopy for their exhibit area during the event in addition to the courtesy table and 2 chairs. Based on availability, the placement of your exhibit will be in a location of your choice.
