Sponsorship
Description: The Department of
Environmental Management (DEM) is seeking
sponsor(s) to cover the cost of tuition
of weekly camps for qualified (based on
financial need) students interested in attending
a summer camp program offered at Brooker
Creek Environmental Education Center or
Weedon Island Preserve Culture & Natural
History Center. Tuition to attend the camps
is $125.00 per student for one week of camp.
DEM is seeking a total of $7,150.00 to underwrite
the tuitions for a total of 65 children
($110.00 per child). Parents will be responsible
for paying $15.00 toward the cost of the
camp for transportation to the camp location.
Financially disadvantaged children who would
not otherwise be able to attend these camps
will be given this unique educational opportunity
as a result of sponsor support. Sponsors
may be recognized via placement of company
logo on camp t-shirt and camper certificate
of participation. Sponsors will receive
an acknowledgement of their support indicating
the number of students sponsored.
