Description: The Health & Human Services
Department is a multi-program public
assistance and human services agency
located in Pinellas County, Florida,
and funded by the Pinellas County Board
of County Commissioners. Primary, among
the many services offered, are its
public assistance programs that provide
basic financial, medical, and dental
assistance to indigent and disabled
residents of Pinellas County. The department
provides assistance to residents who
are pending or ineligible for State
or Federal assistance. The department
has approximately three thousand persons
enrolled in its health care plan and
conducts approximately 30,000 interviews
per year for its financial and medical
programs.
Pinellas County is seeking corporate
sponsors that will assist the Human
Services Department in providing products
and/or services (see "wish
list") that improve the quality
of life of the department's clients.
The department will consider financial
and in-kind contributions. The County
may recognize sponsors via wide variety
of benefits including, but not limited
to, public recognition in various internal
and external communications vehicles
(employee newsletter, County newsletters,
web site, public meeting) and exposure
via departmental outreach initiatives
(mobile medical unit).
