Animal Services (PCAS) is seeking to
purchase premium-grade animal food
from an exclusive animal food supplier
at the lowest net cost to PCAS. Proposers
are encouraged to propose sponsorship
elements that may be provided by PCAS
to help minimize pricing of animal
food. Proposers are encouraged to be
creative in proposing sponsorship elements.
Examples include: recognition as an
“Official Partner of Pinellas County”;
recognition on the PCAS Animobile bus,
PCAS lobby, printed collateral materials,
and web site; and ability to provide
samples, product and/or coupons to
PCAS customers.
Each year PCAS impounds over 20,000
dogs and cats. Of these animals, over
4,000 are likely to be adopted from
the shelter. As a benchmark shelter,
we strive to ensure the health and
wellbeing of all animals in our care.
Optimal nutrition is critical in reducing
stress and preventing disease. Feeding
a premium diet also aids in reducing
animal waste thus improving overall
sanitation and reducing labor. Historically,
the shelter has fed over 35,000 lbs
of dog food, 8,000 lbs of puppy food,
6,800 lbs of cat food and 800 lbs of
kitten food on an annual basis.
