Blacksmithing - A Second Level
Location: Heritage Village
Details: Heritage Village, 11909 125th St. N., Largo Learn to forge, weld, punch holes and hot rivet. You must have some blacksmith experience and or have completed the beginning class. You will learn how to make some parts of a fireplace set. Ken Straight is the instructor. Details: Brooker Creek Preserve, 3940 Keystone Road, Tarpon Springs Meet G. Wayne McCartney and talk about his realistic wildlife paintings. His work places strong emphasis on the interrelationships between wildlife and habitat. The exhibit will be on display during normal Center hours through Sunday, April 26. Pilgrim in the Land of Alligators: Modern Floridians in the Age of Dinosaurs
Location: Weedon Island Preserve
Details: Weedon Island Preserve, 1800 Weedon Drive N.E., St. Petersburg Award-winning columnist and author, Jeff Klinkenberg, talks about the fascinating encounters between us and alligators. We’ve worshipped them, feared them, hunted them, eaten them and wrote fine literature about them. They’re still here and are dinosaurs living in the 21st Century.
