Petition to Vacate a Public Right of Way or Easement

 

If your petition to vacate request is:

1. in support of a Future Development Project - click here.
   If your Petition-to-Vacate request is in support of a future development project, the County offers a voluntary, no cost development review of your request as a courtesy. During this review, staff will make non-binding recommendations regarding your request, as well as, provide a preliminary indication as to whether staff plans to support or object to the Petition at the public hearing.
   
   Please note that regardless of any staff objections that may arise from this voluntary review process, the applicant has the full right and ability to submit the Petition-to-Vacate Application and proceed to the Board of County Commissioners for the Board to consider the Petition. If you are interested in participating in this review process, click here and you will be directed to the Site Plan Pre-Application Meeting Request Form for the Department of Development Review Services (DRS). Following submission of the form, you will be contacted by DRS to discuss a review of your request.
   
   
2. not in support of a Future Development project, click here and you will be directed to the Petition-to-Vacate Application. Fill out the application, print it, sign it, and mail or hand-deliver it to the address below. (It is recommended that you retain copies of all documents for your records)
