Roosevelt Stormwater Facility Improvements
Project ID# 003130A
Project Location
Stormwater facility at southeast corner of 43rd St. N. and 110th Ave. N. in Pinellas Park.
Project Overview
The project is located in the Roosevelt Creek Watershed just southwest of the Pinellas Solid Waste Facility. This watershed discharges into Old Tampa Bay. The proposed improvements will enhance the stormwater management system by providing additional connectivity and storage that will improve water quality treatment, flood protection, and enhance natural systems. The project was recommended as a result of a Pinellas County evaluation intended to identify projects to improve water quality treatment within existing County-owned stormwater facilities in basins with completed Watershed Management Plans.
Project Schedule
- Construction Start: June 2020
- Construction End: June 2021
This project is funded through the Penny for Pinellas program and a SWFWMD Cooperative Funding Initiative (CFI) grant.
PLEASE NOTE: The construction contractor has obtained a permit to burn vegetation and trees on-site. This change in construction method was made after notices were mailed to adjacent property owners and residents. The contractor is expected to complete all burning by October 30, 2020.
