Project ID# 002201A
Project Location
Raymond H. Neri Community Park
4303 46th Avenue N.
St. Petersburg, FL 33714
Project Overview
Raymond H. Neri Community Park, formerly Joels Creek Greenway Park, is adjacent to the Lealman Exchange in the Central Lealman Area of Pinellas County. The County recently completed a draft master plan for the park and is holding a community information meeting to gain input from citizens about the plan and what they would like to see in the park. Once the master plan is completed the County will move forward with the initial phases of the parkls development. The overall concept of the park includes multi-purpose fields, dog parks, walking trails, play grounds, adult fitness area, pavilions, restrooms, and a small amphitheater.
Project Schedule
Design Start: June 2019
The park will be completed in two phases as funding becomes available. The change in the master plan calls for Phase 1A and Phase 1 to be combined. This will include sidewalks, playground equipment, restroom, a challenge course, an adult fitness area, additional parking, multi-use trail, park infrastructure (water, sewer & stormwater treatment), dog parks, open play fields and picnic shelters. Phase 2 will be developed once additional funding becomes available.
This project is funded through the Penny for Pinellas program and Community Development Block Grant.
