Project Location
Hercules Avenue, from Sherwood Street to Sunset Point Road, Clearwater
Project Overview
To better pedestrian and motorist safety, improvements are planned along 102nd Avenue N. from east of Oakhurst Road to west of Hodson Place. Proposed improvements include, the addition of sidewalks, signal controlled pedestrian crosswalks, reconstruction of the intersection to a more typical configuration, addition of left and right turn lanes on the westbound approach, addition of bike lanes, and new mast arm traffic signals at the intersection. Sidewalk is proposed along the north side of 102nd Avenue and along the west side of 137th Street (north of 102nd Avenue N) to provide a connection to Oakhurst Elementary School. The project also includes drainage improvements along with milling and resurfacing of the existing pavement.
A Neighborhood Project Information Meeting was held in November 2019 to provide citizens with project details, garner input and answer questions.
