John Chesnut Sr. Park and Boca Ciega Millennium Park Playground Replacement
Project PID# 000333N - John Chesnut Sr. Park, Project
Project PID# 000333O - Boca Ciega Millennium Park
John Chesnut Sr. Park, Palm Harbor and Boca Ciega Millennium Park, Seminole.
Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources, through the county's Capital Improvement Program, installed new playground equipment at Boca Ciega Millennium Park in Seminole and John Chesnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor.
The new, inclusive playground equipment is compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and supports Pinellas County's Age-Friendly Initiative. It creates an environment for children of all abilities to come together socially by encouraging cognitive, interactive and participative play. Special equipment features shade the play area and a shock-absorbing, rubberized play surface helps to prevent harsh landings when children jump from the equipment while playing.
- Construction Start: September 2018
- Construction End: April 2019
This project was funded with a federal grant through the Florida Department of Transportation's Local Agency Program (LAP).
