Project ID# 002121C
Project Location
Bee Branch Creek between 14th Street and 15th Street
Project Overview
The objective of this project is to stabilize channel banks and minimize erosion and encroachment of Bee Branch Creek onto private properties between 15th Street and 14th Street in Palm Harbor. The project will also reduce sediment transport to Smith Bayou.
The general scope of work for this project is to provide preliminary engineering design for channel stabilization for Bee Branch Creek from 15th Street to 14th Street in Palm Harbor. This work will include: data collection, updating or additional existing survey, geotechnical investigation, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, preliminary engineering design, and final design and permitting.
Erosion control measures have been designed and constructed for the creek from 19th Street to 15th Street and from 14th Street to Omaha Street. Bee Branch Phase III was not designed or constructed with the other two projects since easements had not been acquired.
The project area has been surveyed for design. The County is coordinating with private stakeholders ahead of design efforts.
