Project Overview
Pinellas County Public Works has planned corridor improvements for the widening of 62nd Avenue N., from 49th Street N. to 34th Street N. in St. Petersburg. The project objective is to increase intersection capacity at congested locations, provide a center turn lane, and provide multimodal improvements for bicyclists, pedestrians and transit users. The project is identified as the No. 3 priority in the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The resulting project will reduce congestion, improve safety and support alternative transportation options for citizens and businesses in the area.
A Neighborhood Project Information Meeting was held in November 2019 to provide citizens with project details, garner input and answer questions.
