Project Overview
Pinellas County Public Works is proposing roadway and sidewalk improvements along 42nd Avenue N., from West of 46th Street N. to 35th Street N., in St. Petersburg. The project consists of the design and construction of ADA-compliant sidewalks, curb ramps and driveways along both sides of 42nd Avenue N. Roadway improvements include reconstruction or pavement rehabilitation with the realignment of 42nd Avenue N. at 43rd Street N. as well as filling in existing ditches to the extent possible on both sides of the road to accommodate a closed drainage system. The completion of the project will result in a safer pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
A Neighborhood Project Information Meeting was held in May 2019 at the Lealman Exchange to provide citizens with project details, garner input and answer questions.
