Project Overview
To better pedestrian and motorist safety, a Project Development and Environmental (PD&E) Study is being completed for proposed improvements along 126th Avenue N. from 34th Street N. to U.S. Highway 19 in Pinellas Park.
The objective of the study considers the impacts and alternative assessments. The proposed improvements include, the addition of a center turn lane, wide sidewalks, and a 12-foot wide shared-use trail which would be a segment of the south gap of the planned Pinellas Trail Loop.
The improvements will provide vital connections to enhance multi-modal transportation needs and economic development opportunities. The completion of the project will relieve local traffic congestion and improve access to existing businesses while also being an added benefit in attracting new businesses to the area. The alternative public meeting has been postponed.
