Pinellas
County
Public Works Mission is to serve the Citizens
and Visitors of Pinellas County by providing,
implementing, operating and maintaining transportation,
surface water, and building programs
in a
professional manner which supports economic and
community growth.
From
road repair to park construction to traffic
light repair, Pinellas County's citizens benefit
from the many services provided by our dedicated
employees who are committed to maintaining
professional and high quality standards.
Pinellas
County Public Works Department plays a major role
in developing and maintaining the County's transportation
and surface water management programs. It provides
engineering and construction services to other
Pinellas County departments, i.e., the Park Department,
Community Development, and General Services.
Public
Works is comprised of multiple major departments:
Engineering, Transportation (including Traffic),
Operations (including Mosquito Control), Geographic
Services (Survey & Mapping),
Construction Management, Facility Design,
and Financial Services and Contracts.
We
are committed to involving the public in our project
management process. Public meetings are held to
notify local residents about alternative plans,
cost estimates, and projected schedules. Stormwater
management and wetland impacts arise on virtually
any project. We are continuously progressing to
meet the opportunities and challenges on environmental
issues. We recognize these matters as critical
to complete the acceptance of public works' projects. It
is our goal to answer any questions you may have
concerning Pinellas County Public Works. Please
