Daily ranger patrols provide consistent inspections
of the surface, structures and facilities of
the County’s Trails and Parks. Inspections
reduce the potential for accidents and injuries.
The following are items that rangers monitor
during their patrols.

Loose
or missing nuts, bolts and ties on fences
and guard-rails.

Broken or damaged boards, roof shingles.
-
Wasps, bees and ant colonies/nests.
-
Damaged/dirty drinking fountains.
-
Erosion.
-
Broken or missing bollards.
-
Missing or damaged signs and signal lights
not working.
-
Any and all debris and/or impediments on the
Trail.
-
Unauthorized vehicles or equipment on the Trail.
-
Illegal discharges into drainage areas.
-
Stray animals.
-
Graffiti on Trail or Park property.
-
Low hanging vegetation.
-
Accidents or incidents.
-
Disruptive or destructive visitors.
Note:
All serious problems, incidents and
visitor complaints are reported to the Pinellas
Trail Office as soon as practical.
