Trail Bridge Patrol |

- Rangers are stationed at Weedon Island Preserve
when assigned to the bridge and report to
the Trail office (on duty/off duty) by radio.

Parking of personal vehicle is at the maintenance
area.

Park vehicle is kept at Weedon Island and used
only for transportation to and from the bridge
or to trail office.

Rangers take radios home.

All items placed in the informational kiosks
must be approved in advance by the Pinellas
Trail supervision.

Rangers ensure that the contractor performs
all duties listed in the maintenance and
security contracts. Any maintenance deficiency or safety
hazard is addressed appropriately and immediately.

Rangers ensure public safety by means of patrols
identifying bridge deficiencies such as loose
boards, damaged guard-rails, missing screw-nails
etc. and seeing that they are repaired immediately.

Rangers do not dispense water, or other drinks
to visitors.
