About Parks
The staff of the Pinellas County Park System has set a high standard in order to provide residents and visitors with an enjoyable experience in a natural setting. The Parks Department is responsible for the care and maintenance of the county-owned parks and preserves, trails, campgrounds, boat ramps, rights of way and roads.
Our employees specialize in several fields of expertise. Park Rangers patrol parks and campgrounds to ensure security and cleanlines. They help residents by sharing with information about the park’s amenities, providing directions and offering first aid when necessary.
The horticulturists are responsible for the care of all of the landscaping on county-owned property, including roads and Pinellas County public facilities. Other employees provide a full range of services, from recordkeeping to cleaning restrooms to painting shelters.
All of the Parks staff is committed to providing services to our citizens for their enjoyment.
