Steps to Pedestrian Safety:
Watch all cars carefully.
Use the new practice of an outstretched arm to sign to a motorist you are about to cross the road. Wear bright colored clothing during the day and light or reflective clothing at night. Carry a flashlight in thedark.

a Parked Car or Other Obstacle. ` 6. Cross the Street with a Group When Possible: A group is easier to see than just one person. 7. Cross Only at Designated Crosswalks: Many busy intersections have Pedestrian Crossing Signals which make crossing the street safer if they are used properly. |
