Always stop at the curb or edge of the roadway.
Check for parked cars that may be ready to move.
Walk to the edge of the parked cars.
Look LEFT - RIGHT- then LEFT again!
Watch and wait for moving vehicles to pass.
Cross only when the street is clear.
Keep looking for cars as you cross.
BE SAFE! - BE SEEN! Wear reflective clothing when walking at dawn, dusk, or when it's dark!
In Cars
Always wear your seat belt - for every ride.Kids 12 and under, ride in the back.
Skating :
Wear your helmet and other gear: wrist guards, elbow, and knee pads.
Look left, right, left, before crossing street.
Arrive on time at bus stop.
Make sure your child stands at least 10 feet ( five giant steps ) from the road while waiting.
Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop befor boarding or exiting.
Take a seat right away and remain seated - facing forward.
Secure all belongings in a zippered backpack.
Wear bright, contrasting clothing colors.
When exiting the bus, look to the right.
NEVER walk behind the bus.
