The MPO Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the County Courthouse at 315 Court Street (5th floor Assembly Room), Clearwater, Florida. Agendas are published on this page approximately one week before each meeting. Please note that effective September 10, the MPO and Pinellas Planning Council (PPC) began meeting under the new consolidated MPO/PPC board. The Pinellas County MPO is governed by a 13-member board of elected officials representing municipal governments, the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners and the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority link to external site (PSTA).   The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 7 Office link to external site is represented on the board by the District Secretary who is a non-voting member.

 Advisory Committees
to the MPO:

Advisory committee members provide input to the MPO to help advisory board meeting identify and address transportation planning issues. To achieve a broad representation of ideas and perspectives, members are drawn from three categories: citizens, professionals (technical, social service, law enforcement, municipal agencies, etc.), and policy (elected officials). Vacancies occur periodically. If you are interested in serving, contact the MPO .

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) - assists the MPO by providing input to the transportation planning process that reflects citizens’ views and interests. The 26 members represent the county’s municipalities and the county as a whole.

Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) - 30 plus-member group comprised of state, regional and local planners, traffic engineers, transit representatives and environmentalists representing transportation and government agencies.  The TCC assists the MPO by reviewing transportation plans and programs and making recommendations based on their technical adequacy.

Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) - provides MPO with input and direction on bicycle and pedestrian-related issues, plans and policies. The 21-member BPAC includes technical representatives from state, county, and municipal governments, law enforcement personnel and private citizens who are advocates for the needs of bicyclists and pedestrians.

Local Coordinating Board (LCB) - established pursuant to Rule 41-2, F.A.C., as policy and oversight board for the MPO Transportation Disadvantaged Program. The Tampa Bay Transportation Management Area (TMA) Leadership Group - The TMA Leadership Group consists of nine elected officials from Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas MPOs and two non-voting technical advisors from FDOT and TBARTA. The principal roles of the Leadership Group are to foster a consensus on regional transportation priorities and represent the TMA with a unified voice in discussions with state and federal agencies on transportation and funding matters.
