Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program^® for Pinellas County Employees, Retirees, Active Volunteers, and Families

The National Arts Program and Pinellas County present the Colors of Pinellas Art Show each year.
The show provides an opportunity for employees, retirees, volunteers, and their families to participate in a professional exhibition and compete for cash prizes.
The show is judged by professional artists, and offers Amateur, Intermediate, Professional, Teen, and Youth classifications.

May 19	Registration deadline
June 1	Hand deliver artwork 315 Court Street from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
June 15	Artwork judging
June 26	Awards Ceremony Communications Department Studios 333 Chestnut Street, Clearwater, 3:00 p.m.
June 26 - July 24	Art Show exhibit open to the public
July 25	Pick up artwork 315 Court Street from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Each artist receives a Certificate of Participation in The National Arts Program. Prizes awarded by classification:

Best of Show - $400 (adults only)

Adult (Amateur, Intermediate, and Professional)

3 – First Place Awards of $350
3 – Second Place Awards of $250
3 – Third Place Awards of $150

Youth/Teen (Youth 12 & under; Teen 13-18)

2 – First Place Awards of $150
2 – Second Place Awards of $100
2 – Third Place Awards of $75

Art Education - $200 (teens and youth only)

Preparing Artwork:

Delivery of Artwork:
All entries must be delivered to the lobby of the downtown Clearwater Courthouse at 315 Court Street, on Thursday, June 1 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Public Exhibit:
The exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., June 26 to July 24, 2017 in the County Courthouse lobby, 315 Court Street, Clearwater. The exhibit is free to the public and photographing or filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
Reception & Awards Ceremony:
A reception and presentation of awards was held at the Communications Department Studios, 333 Chestnut Street, Clearwater, on Monday, June 26 at 3:00 p.m.
Retrieving Artwork:
Each artist will be responsible for retrieving his/her artwork from the lobby of the Courthouse at 315 Court Street on July 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Neither Pinellas County nor The National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
National Arts Program:
Artists may upload photographs of their original artwork and their personal biography on the National Arts Program’s website at www.nationalartsprogram.org.

Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither The National Arts Program nor Pinellas County can be held responsible for damage or loss of art entries. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth. The National Arts Program Foundation and Pinellas County reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.
