Retirees: Deferred Compensation Plan
This is a program to help fund your retirement. Employees may choose to participate in the Deferred Compensation Plan provided for in Internal Revenue Code Section 457. This is similar to a 401(k) plan in private sector employment.
At any time throughout the year, you may contact Benefits at (727) 464-4570 for general information, enrollment forms or plan description booklets.
Once retired, funds from this account can be transferred to your choice of financial planners, or you may keep them within the Florida Retirement System. Please review Think Twice Before Rolling out of the Investment Plan before transferring any of your money to a new financial planner.
