Kid’s Club

Kids Having FunMonthly clubs offer a fun getaway to the past! 2-hour themed
programs include living history activities, a targeted tour, story
time, and a craft. Plus a take-home activity to share with the
family!

Ages 5-11

  • Kids Clubs program fee:
    $10 per child, Pinellas County Historical Society member
    $12 per child, non-member
  • Save on the series!
    $30 per child, Pinellas County Historical Society member
    $40 per child, non-member

Preschool Village Ramblers

Kids Having Fun10-11:30 a.m., first Wednesday monthly
Preschoolers and their parents or grandparents can play
at history! Start with Circle Time, join living history
interpreters in the everyday activities of an early Florida
homestead and enjoy a historic house tour and story.

February 6 - Acre Foot Delivers the Mail
March 5 - Take Me Out to the Ball Game
April 2 - Four Busy Firefighters
May 7 - This Is the Way We Wash Our Clothes

Be a Star under the Big Top - Twirl, Pitch, Applaud

• Make a mask for the masquerade
• Clowning around and the mad cap fire brigade
• Create a magical floating alligator farm

Creaky Stairs and Steps to Mend

• Build a Victorian letter box
• Plumbing around the outhouse
• Fanciful heirloom stitching
• Dumpling stew we’ll do

Swamp Dog Days of Fun!

• Set sail the hay bail boat
• Hook, line and sinker
• Make a compass rose

Spring Break Camp

image of history campWhen school lets out for Spring Break, the kids can join us for a week of hands-on history fun and the chance to make new friends, for ages 5-11!

Camp fee: $125 per child, members of the Pinellas County Historical Society
$150 per child, nonmember
Pre-paid registration required

• Make your own cattle brand
• Set up a chuck wagon at the fire pit
• Create a travel journal
• Sew toy sacks and play historic games
• Tell a “tall tale!”
• Barter at the Store
• Map an exploration of the back trails

Craft Classes

For Parents with Children ages 7 and up.

TBA - Rug Hooking
Learn what early pioneers did with their worn out clothing. Come learn a new craft and make a mug rug or pot-holder to take home


TBA - Tin Punching
How beautiful the light looks through a tin punched lantern! Come create your own unique candleholder and learn about this pioneer art form.

  • Fee per class for one parent/grandparent/guardian working with one child as a team. Includes all supplies for making one project:
    $23 Pinellas County Historical Society member
    $28 non-member
    Half price for second child (materials included)
