Pinellas Public Library Cooperative Inc. Application
This application applies to citizens who wish to be appointed to boards, councils or committees under the purview of the Board of County Commissioners by individual county commissioners or the County Commission as a whole.

Two members of the Board of Directors shall be appointed by Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners and shall serve a term of three (3) years.
Members of the Board of Directors will represent the interest of all parties, including the County, the Cooperative, local governments with and without libraries, and patrons; and can envision the future of countywide library services.
The Cooperative’s responsibilities include providing library services to the unincorporated areas of the county and to municipalities that do not have library services, and to improve library services to residents of municipalities and library tax districts.
The primary functions of the Cooperative include receiving and disbursing funds from federal, state and local sources; maintaining a shared library automation system, maintaining a shared materials delivery system and assisting libraries in the collective purchase of library resources and services. All Members of the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative, Inc. must be registered to vote in Pinellas County.
Candidates for consideration must have previous experience serving on a board or similar body, and the capacity to evaluate a full range of perspectives, from library service providers to library users.
Applicants may not be an employee or an official of the governing body of a Pinellas County library.
