Healthcare Facility Generator Planning
Welcome to the Pinellas County Emergency Management Webpage for Healthcare Facility Generator Planning.
Below are the links to the permanent emergency rules requiring every assisted living facility and nursing home in Florida to have an alternate power source, such as a generator, to ensure the protection of residents’ health, safety, welfare, and comfort in the event of the loss of the primary electrical power.
The rules are effective March 26, 2018 and links to the final rule text are provided below:
Any additional information will be posted on the websites as it becomes available. Thank you for all you do to keep Florida’s assisted living facility and nursing home residents safe and comfortable.
