Plan
Reviews
As
with environmental assessments, the review of plans should occur early
in the Capital Improvement Process (CIP) process beginning with the
preliminary plan set. Alignments can be reviewed in conjunction with
aerial depictions of the project site. This allows the reviewer to see
how the project "fits" with the overall site area. Follow-up
reviews of the 30%, 60%, 90% and 100% plans allow refinements to be
made at each stage as the plan becomes more detailed. All Project Production
Team members must be satisfied that their concerns have been addressed
at each stage of the process. While not "foolproof", this
process has resulted in projects that are significantly better and more
cost effective.
