Animal Services:
Help us provide extra needs!
Through the Animal Welfare Trust Fund, our citizens are able to donate directly to the animals under our care. The donations that have so generously been shared are used for the extra medications and direct-care items for our cats and dogs that we might not otherwise be able to provide.
This fund was established to provide for the receipt of gifts, grants and awards of money from either public or private donors to be placed in a trust and appropriated for the exclusive use, welfare and benefit of domestic animals within Pinellas County. The Trust Fund makes it possible to care for a larger number of animals and provides special needs such as:
- Comfortable kennels
- Improved ventilation and quarantine/isolation facilities.
- Medicine
- Special dietary food
- Toys to prevent boredom

Heritage Village:
Help preserve Pinellas County’s Historical Home.
General Donations Heritage Village – Heritage Village is a 21-acre living history museum located in the heart of Pinellas County. The natural pine and palmetto landscape is home to some of Pinellas County’s most historic buildings. More than 31 historic structures and features, some dating back to the 19th century, include a school, church, sponge warehouse, railroad depot and store as well as a variety of historic homes. Donations help maintain the structures and grounds.Green Benches at Heritage Village – Green benches dot the landscape at Heritage Village. They were designed in the spirit of those once-popular benches in downtown St. Petersburg. The benches at Heritage Village provide a place to rest while strolling the winding paths among the historic buildings; to chat about the exciting and interesting things you see; to enjoy performances at stages during festivals; and to contemplate in this special environment. You can help preserve this wonderful vestige of our past by becoming a Green Bench Supporter. A plaque on a bench plus a prominently displayed recognition sign will be a visual expression of your commitment to preserving our past for future generations. Each bench is $500 which contributes to help support the ongoing restoration and interpretation of our historic structures.
Turner Bungalow Restoration at Heritage Village – The Turner bungalow was moved from 801 S. Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater to Heritage Village in January 2014. The historic structure was the home of Alfred Cleveland and Amber Clark Turner and remained in the family throughout its history. The 1915 home is of the distinct Florida vernacular bungalow style of that time period. Heritage Village is seeking donations to restore and preserve the historic value of the structure, providing visitors the opportunity to enjoy and learn from this important piece of Clearwater’s history and the history of Florida vernacular architecture. All donations of $100 or more will have a plaque placed inside the structure once restored. Donations will be used to restore and preserve the historic value of the structure.

- Pinellas County 4-H Club / University of Florida:
Help our youth.
For more information contact the Extension office at (727) 582-2597.
The 4-H program strives to offer school age children the opportunity to learn about topics they enjoy in an inclusive environment. This means a 4-H member makes new friends and feels safe to be oneself while learning and participating in 4-H activities. Research has shown that youth who are involved in 4-H activities are less likely to become involved in negative activities and more likely to do better in school and plan to go to college. Donations help with staffing and program supplies.
