The AHAC Committee will meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday November 4, 2020, in the Clerks Large Conference Room, 315 Court Street, Clearwater, to obtain citizen comments on the draft 2020 Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Housing Incentives Review and Recommendations Report. The 2020 report identifies the affordable housing incentives and recommendations on each incentive established in Florida Statute §420.9076.
STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM
2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 ANNUAL REPORTS
Pinellas County SHIP Program Annual Reports for State Fiscal Years 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2019-2020 are available for public review and comment from August 16, 2020 through August 30, 2020. Written comments on the reports may be submitted to Pinellas County by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent to Pinellas County Housing and Community Development, 440 Court Street 2nd Floor, Clearwater, FL 33756, or directly to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, 227 N. FY2019 Annual Action Plan Substantial Amendment and
Citizen Participation Plan Amendment
Pinellas County has prepared a substantial amendment to the FY2019 Annual Action Plan to receive and administer $1,481,969 in Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus Response (CDBG-CV), $739,117 in Emergency Solutions Grant - Coronavirus Response (ESG-CV), and $3,997,774 in Emergency Solutions Grant l Coronavirus Response Round 2 (ESG-CV2) funding to prepare, prevent and respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and 2020-2021 Annual Action Plan for Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Solutions Grant, and HOME Investment Partnership Programs, and 2020 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing
Pinellas County has prepared the 2020-24 Five-Year Consolidated Plan, including the 2020-21 Annual Action Plan, that identifies housing and community development needs, priorities, objectives, and strategies as well as the FY 2020-21 proposed projects. The County has also prepared the 2020 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing which assesses laws, ordinances, statutes, and administrative policies as well as local conditions that affect the location, availability, and accessibility of housing.

- Coronavirus Relief Funds Pinellas County has received a distribution of $1,600,174 in Coronavirus Relief Funds from the Florida Housing Finance Corporation and may receive a second distribution after October 15, 2020. These funds are being made available to assist households impacted by COVID-19 with overdue rent or mortgage payments. Applications will become available at 8:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020. Pinellas County announces the availability of local government support funding for eligible affordable housing development projects to meet the criteria of the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) Competitive Application Process RFA 2020-202 Housing Credit Financing. Please see the full NOFA for additional information.
- State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program
2020-2021 Pinellas County expects to receive $5,441,073 in SHIP funds and will accept applications under Homeownership and Rental Strategies for housing production, preservation, and other activities included in its Local Housing Assistance Plan between July 7, 2020 and June 30, 2023, or until all available funds are spent.
Pinellas County Housing Development Funding
The application period for mixed-income rental and owner housing development activities will continue on an ongoing basis until funds are depleted.
Pinellas County Housing Trust Fund - (Active)
Pinellas County received $1,818,118 in Pinellas County Community Housing Trust Fund dollars during Fiscal Year 2008-2009. The application period for these funds will continue on an ongoing basis until the funds are depleted.
