Physically Disabled
Tenants with disabilities have the right to make reasonable modifications to the unit at their own expense. (See "Fair Housing" in Part 6 for agencies to contact for information.) However, some affordable, publicly financed housing is available:

Mentally Disabled
Boley Centers for Behavioral Health Care, Inc., is a private, not-for-profit organization serving persons with emotional, psychiatric and behavioral problems. The Agency currently owns and manages a total of 368 beds comprised of: 72 group homes beds, 60 supervised apartments beds , 20 transitional homeless supervised apartments, 36 permanent homeless apartment beds , 123 permanent supported housing apartment beds and 71 integrated apartment units. Additionally, Boley Centers acts as a housing authority and manages 300 housing vouchers for individuals with any disability, individuals who are HIV+, and individuals who are homeless, for a total of 682 units of housing under management.
