Pinellas County Building Code Changes
The new 2004 Florida Building Code became effective on October 1, 2005. This page will contain some of the more important changes to this code. I will try and cover as many as possible that we deem to be significant, however we do not guarantee that all significant changes appear on this page.
The first major change is not to a specific code section, but the fact that there are now three different code that we must deal with. There is still the Florida Building Code, but we now also have the Florida Building Code/Residential and the Florida Building Code/Existing Buildings. I will try and add as time allows major points to each of these codes. Because of this I will be establishing a dedicate page for each of these.
