OF PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR FY2008 BUDGET
THE PUBLIC HEARING PROCESS
The Public Hearing process consists of two
public hearings for the consideration and adoption of the tentative millage rates and associated proposed budget for the
upcoming fiscal year. During the public hearing process, the millage rates may be reduced, but may not be
increased. The public hearings will be held at:

The FIRST PUBLIC HEARING will be held
on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. The Board of County
Commissioners of
SECOND PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at
6:30 p.m. The Board of County
Commissioners will consider and adopt the final millage
rates and budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The second and final public
hearing is officially noticed by the Notice of Proposed Tax Increase and Budget
Summary appearing in the St.
Petersburg Times on September 14, 2007. After receiving public comment and
considering each item, the Board will adopt a series of resolutions
establishing the millages and budgets for FY2008.
