Pinellas County Animal Services is seeking volunteers over the age of 18 to be a part of our Foster Care Team.
Foster Care allows Pinellas County Animal Services to serve pets that are in need of time away from the shelter: puppies and kittens too young for adoption, those recovering from surgery or illness, senior pets that need to be out of a shelter environment, dogs that have been on adoption row too long and pets requiring socialization skills that can only be learned in a home environment.
Fostering is flexible enough for most lifestyles and all veterinary care, medication and care supplies are provided by Pinellas County Animal Services. The foster parent provides affection, we provide the rest. By taking one of our animals into your home on a temporary basis you provide that animal with a safe environment as they get ready to find a forever home.
