Human
Services - Can we help You? |
We
hope that we are able to assist you but not
all persons will qualify for assistance. We
serve the low income individual or family with
medical or general assistance needs who meet
specific program criteria. We follow strict
guidelines established by the Board of County
Commissioners and cannot assist you if you do
not meet the eligibility requirements. If you
do not qualify, we will try our best to refer
you to another agency that may be able to assist
you. Any resident of Pinellas County may make
application.
If
You Need:
Financial
Assistance, you must also provide:

of disability (doctors statement)
if you have no children in your custody
-
Referral

and Families if you have children and

How
to Apply:
Should
I make an appointment?
Yes,
the Department operates on an appointment basis;
however, in emergency situations, walk-ins will
be worked into the regular appointment schedule
as time permits.
You
may be seen as an emergency if you have:
- An
eviction notice from landlord
- A
utility bill due for shut-off (not telephone
or cable TV)
- Immediate
need for medical or dental care (this does
not guarantee that a doctor will see you today)
- A
valid prescription that needs to be filled
(not all prescriptions can be honored). If
you need a refill on medication but dont
have a prescription, you must present your
current medicine bottle with label.
Please
call for additional information.
