Welcome to the Speakers Bureau

The Pinellas County Speakers Bureau has arranged presentations reaching thousands of citizens. Our latest edition of Speaking Out, the Pinellas County Speakers Bureau continues to provide dynamic, engaging speakers from various Pinellas County government offices, whose presentations cover more than 120 topics of community interest.

In our Speakers Bureau online catalog, topics are arranged according to areas of interest that affect the quality of life in Pinellas County. These presentations are appropriate for civic groups, private clubs, community organizations and schools. Allow us to help you plan an educational and informative program by including a Pinellas County speaker.

When selecting a topic, first consider your audience and its area of interest.

To request a speaker, either fill out the online form, or phone the Pinellas County Communications Department at 453-3051. Please give three weeks notice to fill your request.

Guidelines

The following guidelines apply to organizations/agencies requesting speakers:

• All requests must be received three weeks in advance of a scheduled meeting, conference or event to ensure appropriate time for scheduling
• A host representative should be in attendance for the presentation duration.
• Please contact the speaker a week prior to the presentation date for final confirmation of time, date, audio-visual needs, audience numbers, etc.
• ***No request will be considered as confirmed without the submission of a completed Speaker Request Form and confirmation provided by Speakers Bureau staff.***

***A Special Note to Teachers***

The staff at the Pinellas County Communications Department looks forward to assisting you with your special program. Please keep in mind that “all-day” speaker requests are difficult to meet due to county staff’s various responsibilities and job activities. Combining classes is the preferred method to reach the greatest number of students effectively. School presentations require a teacher to be present at all times. We will make every attempt to schedule your requested speaker on the date of your choice, but final speaker selection will be made at the discretion of the speaker's availability.
