Public Works Financial Services Division is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of the fiscal, clerical, and administrative activities of Public Works Department. Assistance is provided to meet the County's objectives of developing and maintaining transportation, parks and stormwater drainage capital improvement projects; responding to the Board, administration and citizen inquiries; enhancing public participation programs; and, providing community services such as mosquito control.

Functional Responsibilities:
Administrative Services

  • Performs administrative functions associated with Professional Services Consultant Selection for all County departments and facilitates the selection of consultants for design projects.

  • Prepare and support submittals of federal and state grant applications for parks and roadway improvements
  • Secretarial services are coordinated for various divisions within Public Works

Financial Services

  • The Financial Services Division has direct responsibility for the fiscal and financial affairs of Public Works. This includes the accounting for the costs of directing and organizing all support functions of the Capital Improvement Program within the department.

  • This division also provides contract administration and records management services to the Public Works department.
  • Fiscal Services is responsible for directing, organizing and providing support to all Public Works Divisions. They provide financial and procurement coordination, contract administration, and records management support processes
