Advisory Committees to the MPO:
Advisory committee members provide input to the MPO to help identify and address transportation planning issues. To achieve a broad representation of ideas and perspectives, members are drawn from three categories: citizens, professionals (technical, social service, law enforcement, municipal agencies, etc.), and policy (elected officials). Vacancies occur periodically. If you are interested in serving, contact the MPO .

| Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) - assists the MPO by providing input to the transportation planning process that reflects citizens’ views and interests. The 26 members represent the county’s municipalities and the county as a whole. |

| Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) - 30 plus-member group comprised of state, regional and local planners, traffic engineers, transit representatives and environmentalists representing transportation and government agencies. The TCC assists the MPO by reviewing transportation plans and programs and making recommendations based on their technical adequacy. |

| Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) -
provides MPO with input and direction on bicycle-related issues, plans and policies. The 24-member BAC consists of technical representatives from state, county, and municipal governments, law enforcement personnel and private citizens who are bicycle enthusiasts. |

| Pedestrian Transportation Advisory Committee (PTAC) - serves the MPO on an advisory basis with regard to pedestrian access and safety issues. The 23-member committee includes local planners and engineers, law enforcement officials and private citizens. |

| Local Coordinating Board (LCB) - established pursuant to Rule 41-2, F.A.C., as policy and oversight board for the MPO Transportation Disadvantaged Program. There are 15 members representing private and non-profit transportation providers, PSTA, social service agencies, the Pinellas County School Board and private citizens. |

| Intelligent Transportation Systems Committee (ITS) - composed of public and private sector transportation planners, engineers, MPO members and representatives from a variety of transportation-related specialties including traffic management, emergency management (includes fire and rescue), law enforcement, transit, communications and tourism. |

| School Transportation Safety Committee (STSC) -
composed of local elected officials and school board members, this committee addresses school related transportation access and safety issues and improvement of communication and coordination between transportation agencies and the Pinellas County School Board. |

| Pinellas Mobility Initiative Steering Committee (PMI) - Formerly known as the Pinellas Mobility Major Investment Study Steering Committee, this committee provides the MPO with assistance in developing plans for premium transit service, including fixed guideway and Bus Rapid Transit. |
