In 2007, Heritage Village embarked upon an oral history initiative utilizing the services of a young journalist and USF Florida Studies graduate, Edward Woodward.
Over a period of several months, Mr. Woodward researched, interviewed, and processed the oral histories of 18 individuals countywide. The program, titled “Pinellas Voices,” captured the memories of men and women affiliated with the interpretive themes of agriculture, coastal living, tourism, and community life. In addition to the oral histories themselves, Mr. Woodward also compiled a detailed written summary of each interview.
